Saturday, the Jazz and forward Derrick Favors agreed on a four-year extension. According to sources, the deal is worth about 49 million.
This was a smart move by Utah to lock up Favors. After losing Al Jefferson and Paul Milsap, this was a great deal made by the Jazz to keep Favors even longer. I think that Favors is going to be the future of Utah. He is already shown that he can do it all down low in the paint. Now that Favors will start, and get more time, I would expect that he will probably have the best year of his career this season.
Favors could be the next best big man in the NBA here shortly. He will have a workload this season as the Jazz are not as talented as they were a year ago.
