Ever since being traded to the Lakers, it seems like Steve Nash is always hurt or injured. Nash is now out for 2 weeks with a hamstring and nerve root irritation in his back. The man is 39 years old so with all the wear and tear his body has had throughout the years, it looks as if he is starting to wear out.
Nash is a great player, there is no doubt about that. The problem is, he can't stay healthy. Why waste a roster spot for a guy who is hurt half the time? Replacing Nash wouldn't be a problem for Los Angeles. They have two guys named Steve Blake and Jodie Meeks who can fill in nicely. Nash has stated that his health last year was better than it is this year. Isn't that a red flag?
I think the wheels are falling off for Nash. Don't get me wrong, I love watching Nash play when he is healthy and can actually perform how we know he can. It might just be getting to the end for him. He will definitely make the hall of fame someday. So should he retire?
